Vintage 2018 (not yet released)

“Stylish and seductive.. dark cherry, plum, floral, thyme and almond characters on the nose.. concentrated and refined on the palate, delivering flowing texture and polished tannins.. sweet berry flavours and elegant savoury nuances. At its best: now to 2026”  Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

“..The nose is filled with sweet red fruits, strawberries, cherries and plums. There are savoury earthy notes all adding to the overall complex aroma. The palate delivers what the nose promised with soft silky tannins, red fruits in layers, with savoury characters and soft oak all balanced by clean acid.”  Stephen Read, Wine Matrix

Vintage 2016

“Elegant, savoury and engaging, the wine shows spiced plum, dried cherry, thyme, earthy mushroom and olive characters on the nose, leading to a beautifully refined palate that is exquisitely composed with sweet fruit flavours and deep savoury nuances. The wine is seamless and complex, backed by fine, silky tannins.” Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

“Complex elements of savoury aromas, red fruits, complex floral notes and an earthy tone, all make this an exciting complex package. The palate follows through with soft tannins, beautifully integrated fruit and acid, leading to a long lingering finish. This is a great example of the quality Pinot Noir that the Tumbarumba region of New South Wales can produce.” Stephen Read, Wine Matrix

Vintage 2014

“Good depth and hue; a well-balanced, generously proportioned pinot with clear-cut varietal expression; fruit, oak and tannins have been precisely calibrated, the length all one could ask for, the future assured.” James Halliday

“Tumbarumba is capable of producing world class Pinot Noir and this wine is in that category. Fresh strawberries and raspberries come through on an enticing nose. The palate is complex and demands consideration as you work through the bright red fruits. The finish is classy and the whole experience is quintessential cool climate Pinot Noir.” Ben Malouf
